Chess Champs

The primary schools chess tournament was recently held at the Tauranga RSA.  Representing Te Puke Primary we had our A-team: Titon, Zane, Harry and Hunter. They came fourth equal, our best result ever! Sadly our B-team: Liam, Briana, Owen and Sophie came last with four points. Owen did look great in the Bay of Plenty Times article though! The games were really hard, but all our players did their best and had a great day. Special thanks to Mrs Smith and Ms Gibney for taking us there and looking after us very well.

Week One: Sevens Sport Sensations

This term we have a Seven's Sport competition coming up.  We will be competing in four sports against other local schools on the 14th of September.

Mr Larsen is looking after the rugby (they have great new jersey's) while Mr Oomen coaches our soccer players.  Miss Tane is our resident netball pro while Mr B looks after the hockey teams.

Every Friday afternoon we will be practicing our sports from 2pm-3pm.
